Skin Care Review: The Body Shop, Divine Calm and Sensual Massage Oils

The Body Shop Massage Oils

Looking after your skin is a must and most of us often neglect to (I am often guilty also). It is not the first product I would reach for in store  but I was intrigued by The Body Shop massage oils, a company renowned for its quality and organic and fair trade products.

I tried both the Divine Calm Relaxing and Sensual massage oils* and both my skin and nose were impressed!

The Divine Calm Relaxing is just lovely. A blend of pure French lavender sweetened by locally sourced camomile. I often find lavender overpowering but this delicate mix and gets you off to a relaxing sleep, a real soothing treat after a long day. The sweet almond oil softens the skin as the jojoba oil moisturises and softens the skin.

The Sensual massage oil is a more seductive number in comparison, with rich floral and citrus notes. It is suitable for all skin types, inspired by Polynesian massage rituals and is wonderfully conditioning for the skin with the inclusion of fair trade marula oil.

Use a small amount of your chosen oil and warm it upon the skin. Use it yourself, get another to give you a lovely massage or place in your bath for a wonderful soak. It has also worked wonders on soothing my sunburn over this blissfully warm week!

Which of these would you choose? Do you use massage oils as part of your skin care routine?

Make Up Review: Max Factor Colour Adapt in Natural Sand

Max Factor Colour Adapt

Every girl has their favourite go to foundation and mine is, and always will be Max Factor!

Not only is it a wonderful quality and lasting, it is also good for those on a budget! A flawless coverage without the extortionate price tag!

I often opt for a shade slightly darker than my own, I am fair so like to try and create a bit of a healthier glow. With that in mind, I always reach for Max Factor Colour Adapt in Natural Sand*.

I got this little gem from 123 Hair and Beauty, a website that offers an affordable selection of hair and beauty products (cheaper than the high street!) to keep even the busiest girl satisfied and beautiful. Order before 2pm on a weekday and they will even ship out your order on that day!

The Max Factor Colour Adapt Foundation works by adapting to your skintone, offering a 'flawless look that's perfectly beautiful and perfectly you'. As our skin is not always the same tone it works by reflecting pigmentations to blend away any of your imperfections and leave you glowing.

It dispenses as a liquid but has a mouse like feel on application, leaving my skin feeling soft and fully covered. Although I have quite clear skin, it can sometimes get a little dry in the winter months or when I have been lacking a proper facial moisturisation routine.

This is why I opt for liquid foundation and Max Factor in particular, it is fabulous for all skin types! Be it oily, dry or combination so it really suits everyone!

Now all you have to do for flawless skin is grab your desired colour!

What is your favourite foundation? Have you tried Max Factor Colour Adapt?
