New Years Eve Plans!

New Years Eve has to be my favourite day of the year! Everyone is so excited with the anticipation of what the new year may bring and you rarely see a sad face in the crowd!

I am planning to go up to London tonight with my boyfriend to see the fireworks. We will have  a nice meal in Leicester Square or China Town and make our way towards the embankment. Hopefully we can get a nice spot across from the river!

It is all going to be totally manic and I love that. I went out this morning and got lots of lovely drinks for the evening! My little collection includes lots of tasty flavoured shots and two bottles of vodka infused schnapps. The woman must of thought terribly of me when I bought it all but ah well! It will be a night to remember and I am spending it with my best friend. Cannot get much better than that eh?

Hope you all have a wonderful New Years Eve and day! What are you planning to do this evening?

A wonderful Christmas!

This year has felt very different to others. It has been such a mad rush, moving to university, all the travelling on trains and the seemingly constant carting of my belongings to and fro. Christmas came and went so quickly!

I spent Christmas eve madly shopping and preparing for the evening of celebration ahead - it was both my mothers 40th and boyfriends 20th birthdays also you see! Me and my mother rushed all the last minute Christmas shopping and I went to collect her beautiful, custom made, fresh exotic fruit cake from Patisserie Valerie.  We spent the night all together in the pub, drank far to much and met the most adorable little Staffordshire bull terrier puppy! An peculiar evening indeed!

Christmas day I was rather hungover and just desperate for dinner. I had a lovely meal prepared for me by my aunt and crawled home for a night of good television and cuddles with James.

I opened all my presents and received some truly well thought and lovingly presented gifts from friends and family! I got lots of beautiful writing pads from my mum including a Peter Rabbit writing set (my all time favourite childhood book), a black leather flex Filofax and an array of colourful notebooks, one for each of my university modules! Handy eh? She also got me the most beautiful quilted green purse from French Connection and some money for any planned nights out or new clothes!

My boyfriend got me a beautiful pair of the red Hunter Original Tour Cuff wellingtons. They can be purchased here and are different from the originals in that they are extremely flexible. Perfect for folding down into a bag to and from university! Words can not express how happy I was when I received these, I have been splashing in every puddle I have found since! Ooh I think I hear the rain again!

My aunt and adopted cousin/brother also got me some lovely gifts. A lovely fragrance and hairbrush set, a beautiful Lush gift box containing Ponche and Sandy Santa and a beautiful handmade scarf. Not only do I smell fabulous, I am also super cosy at the same time!

My boyfriends family got me an impressive collection of gifts including clothing, those adorable owl slippers, the floral clutch, jewellery, a cupcake maker and sweets galore!

I am so thankful for all I received and it was a wonderful day. Lets hope all that Christmas magic is back in full swing next year!

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas! What did you get this year?

Beauty Review: Lush, Season's Tweetings

LUSHSTBOXWho can resist Lush at Christmas? The bright wrapping paper, the array of content and the delicious scents. Actually, who can ever resist Lush products?
I found the Season’s Tweetings* box at my door this festive season containing an amazing variety of skin-loving treats to aid you against the chill. The box includes the Twilight shower gel, Ro’s Argan body conditioner, Tiny Hands solid hand cream and Snowcake star soap.
LUSH2Twilight shower gel (100g)This is my absolute favourite of the Christmas limited edition shower gels. It smells absolutely amazing and is a ridiculously unique fragrance. It is a very sweet lavender smell. I often associate the smell of lavender as a harshly lasting and a rather dull fragrance. However, this shower gel has taken that smell and added a load of sugary goodness and some wonderful silver shimmer too! It really does get me off to sleep after a long day at university and leaves you feeling wonderfully calm and relaxed. I had previously done a review of this wonderfully scented product Here.
Tiny Hands solid hand cream (60g)Tiny Hands is a solid hand cream bar shaped as a delicate little palm. It is a very creamy bar and although small proves to be a very hard worker indeed as it nourishes your hands, soothing and repairing the skin. It leaves my hands feeling fabulously smooth and fresh with its beautiful floral fragrance of chamomile, marigold and lime flower oils. Leaving you, and your hands, feeling wonderfully relaxed! The addition of cocoa and fair trade shea butter provide a gorgeous feel for that additional moisturisation. I find it goes on quite oily but give it a few minutes and the product sinks in a treat! I prefer an oilier product on my hands anyway, and I find this perfect for my winter damaged skin!
LUSH1Ro’s Argan body conditioner (45g)This rose oil scented body moisturiser is just delicious. Packed full of nourishing oils and butters, the ingredients include argan oil, brazil nut oil, almond oil, fair trade shea butter, cocoa butter, cupuaçu butter and oji berry juice! The smell of the rose will leave you feeling luxurious while the ingredients work their magic softening the skin. All you have to do is smooth it all over and rinse off!
Snowcake star soap (70g)This beautiful festive soap comes shaped as a glittering gold star smelling of sweet Christmas treats with its marzipan and fruit fragrance, it works a treat also! This soap cleanses and nourishes the skin and lathers up wonderfully, leaving the beautiful rapeseed and coconut oil to treat the skin.
This box costs £16.95 and unfortunately is only available in the festive period! Fear not though, Lush boxes are available all year round with a variety of amazing products. Take your pick Here!
What do you think of Season’s Tweetings? What beauty products did you get this Christmas?

Food Review: Byron Bay Cookies

I have always loved Byron Bay cookies having purchased them from some of the nicest coffee shops in Oxford for years. Getting the chance to review them in all their glory certainly could not be missed! I tried both the ordinary and gluten free alternatives* for the majority of their cookies and here is what I discovered!

I also was lucky enough to try the gluten free cookies also. Now although delicious, I found these less tasty than the others. However, they make a fabulous alternative and are made with the same impeccable quality. I merely found the taste of the biscuit to be noticeably different.

White Choc chunk and Macamdemia nut (original and gluten free)
This is my favourite of all the cookies, a lovely mix of thick white chocolate chunks and wholesome macadamia nuts. The perfect blend of savoury and sweet. I have always been a lover of white over milk, and the soft nuts really compliment the melt-in-your-mouth white chocolate and crumbly biscuit.

Triple Choc Fudge Cookie (original and gluten free)
Now this is a chocolate lovers dream, packed full of chocolate and fudge and making it incredibly moist and moreish. I found this gluten free version to be not as soft as its alternative. It had a strong chocolate cocoa taste and it felt a lot more dry in comparison. However, the fudge and chocolate pieces remained plentiful and delicious!

Dotty (original and gluten free)
One of the most amazing cookies, not only thick chunks of chocolate but sugar coated chocolate drops on top also! This is what I used to crave as a child and I have to say my mother never said no to one either! The gluten free option is a triple choc cookie with the addition of choc dotty choc drops. Surprisingly it is not as chocolate smothered and proves great with a strong cocoa taste.

Strawberry and Clotted Cream Cookie with White Choc Chunks ( gluten free)
Now this was delicious. The smell of strawberry, strong and sweet with the addition of thick pieces of the fruit. The clotted cream was not as evident but this may have been overpowered by the sweet taste of the fruit and my adored white chocolate chunks!

Sticky Date & Ginger with Walnut Cookie (gluten free)
It is always nice to have a non chocolate option too! This cookie has a strong smell and taste of ginger with the sweetness coming from the dates. It has a really festive feel and the walnut is wonderfully crunchy! I will definitely be on the hunt for these this Christmas!

As you can see Bryon Bay have an incredible variety in terms of ingredients, taste and dietary needs. What is better on a cold day than a warm drink in hand and a lovingly made cookie?

Have you ever tried Byron Bay Cookies? Which flavour would you pick?

Birchbox Launch into Europe Editor's Champagne Afternoon Tea

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the launch of Birchbox Editor’s Champagne Afternoon Tea at the Soho Hotel in London recently. I desperately searched in order to find suitable travel arrangements but to no avail. Luckily, I was sent the goody bag and all the information from the event!

At the moment the current subscription box used in the UK is the well-known JolieBox. This will be fully re-branded as Birchbox after January 2013 and all future boxes will be personalized to suit the individual subscribers when they complete their online personal profiles meaning the boxes will be tailored to your skin type, hair type and style.

Birchbox is an American company that has big ideas for its re-branding into Europe after its acquisition of JolieBox. The idea behind it all is allowing people to try the best
brands from the comfort of their home at a fixed price each month of £13. Birchbox is a self-confessed “global lifestyle brand” and works with over 400 brand partners.

Their motto is “try, learn, buy”. This system allows its customers to buy the full-sized products via the Birchbox website after they have used up their trial/sample size. You receive four or five hand-picked samples in each box.

I received some delicious little beauty inspired cookies and the following boxes containing:

  • Ritessens Exfoliant
  • Redken Align 12 Protective Straightening Lotion
  • L’Occitane Angelica Hydration Cream
  • RMK Cleansing Balm
  • Dr Bronner’s Pure- Castile Soap ‘Pillows’ (3)
  • Twistband

  • DDF Brightening Cleanser
  • Jouer Moisturising Lip Gloss
  • LaraBar
  • Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy Fleur
  • LiQWd Professional Volumizing Catalyst

The future of Birchbox certainly looks bright and the products amazing! I will be doing reviews of all the products in each of these boxes so do keep your eyes peeled!

What do you think of Birchbox? Will you miss JolieBox?

Beauty Review: Lush Limited Edition Christmas Shower Gels

Everyone loves Christmas, especially all the preparation in the run up to it, be it going shopping for gifts or beautifying yourself for all the festive events. These limited edition Christmas shower gels are deliciously refreshing on these ever frostier days. Whats better than a long hot bath or shower after the chill of the day?

This is my absolute favourite of the three Christmas limited edition shower gels.

Well this fluorescent orange shower gel is certainly interesting with the addition of a shot of tequila and the refreshing citrus of fresh orange juice. It is inspired by a "traditional Mexican Christmas punch" with the addition of plum, cinnamon and other fruity fragrances. You can really sniff the hint of tequila and it leaves you feeling tingly all over. While Twilight sends you into the perfect festive dreamy state, this fruity number gets you awake and ready for the day. It really is "your own little party in the shower".

Snow Fairy

This is the Christmas number one best selling product but it was my least favourite of the three! It does smell delicious, good enough to eat in fact, but I am not a huge fan of smelling like a candy store. Lush confesses it is "intensely sweet" and this sparkly little number is reminiscent of bubble gum and candy floss, a perfect girly treat.
All of these shower gels feel wonderful on the skin, deeply moisturizing with lasting smells the question is...

Which will you be buying this Christmas?

Jewellery Review: Timothy Roe 'Buttercup' Spinning Ring

Arriving in a textured purple and gold branded bag and concealed in a delicate black box I found the beautiful "Buttercup" Spinning Ring* by Timothy Roe.

This delicate ring is part of the Timothy Roe 'Primo' collection and is made entirely from sterling silver and adorned with a beautifully bright pink flower.

It is pretty enough to wear alone or thin and lightweight enough to group with other Spinning Jewellery rings available on the website. This gives you the ability to create your own unique collection. I really like the rings ability to adapt from a simplistic and dainty solo act to a stacked creation to suit any personality.

The ring comes in sizes XS, S, M and L. I opted for the medium and with great luck it fitted perfectly. Although I did find these size options rather annoying, especially with my childlike chubby little fingers! I definitely would have preferred the more traditional ring sizes.

Amazingly, the 'Buttercup' Spinning Ring is priced at only £19! This shocked me considering the use of the sterling silver and quality and detail of the craftsmanship. These rings are truly a bargain for any jewellery lover!

Timothy Roe offer a huge variety of jewellery, particularly their rings, so do be sure to check out their website for something delightfully feminine!

What do you think of Timothy Roe? What is your favourite ring in the Primo collection?

The Green Fields of France (The Fureys)

An odd set of song lyrics to post but my mother used to sing this to me as a child and it will never leave me.

I think it is truly beautiful.

Well how do you do, young Willie McBride?
Do you mind if I sit here down by your graveside,
And rest for a while 'neath the warm summer sun?
I've been walking all day, and I'm nearly done.
I see by your gravestone you were only nineteen
When you joined the great fall-in in Nineteen-Sixteen.
I hoped you died well, and I hoped you died clean,
Or young Willie McBride, was it slow and obscene?

Did they beat the drums slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march as they lowered you down?
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
And did the pipes play the flowers of the forest?

Did you leave any wife or a sweetheart behind?
In some faithful heart, is your memory enshrined?
Although you died back in Nineteen-Sixteen,
In that faithful heart are you forever nineteen?
Or are you a stranger without even a name,
Enclosed in forever behind the glass frame
In an old photograph torn, battered and bent,
And faded to yellow in a brown, leather frame

The sun now it shines on the green fields of France.
There's a warm, summer breeze that makes the red poppies dance.
And look how the sun shines from under the clouds:
There's no gas, no barbed wire; there's no guns firing down
But here in this graveyard, it's still no mans land,
The countless white crosses stand mute in the sand,
To a man's blind indifference to his fellow man,
To a whole generation that were butchered and damned

Ah, young Willie McBride, I can't help wonder why,
To those that lie here, now why did they die?
And did they believe when they answered the call,
Did they really believe that this war would end war?
Well, the sorrows, the suffering, the glory, the pain,
The killing and dying was all done in vain.
For young Willie McBride, it all happened again,
And again and again and again and again!

Did they beat the drums slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march as they lowered you down?
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
And did the pipes play the flowers of the forest?

Beauty Review: Kleenex Facial Cleansing Range

Kleenex is a brand you would associate with runny noses and a hatred for the seasons. So, when I found out they had created a beauty inspired 'Facial Cleansing' range I found myself to be very excited. Everyone loves something new from a well-known and respected brand.
The collection includes Facial Cleansing Wipes, Eye Makeup Removal Wipes, Facial Cloths and Shine Absorbing Sheets. Everything you need to keep your face in tip top condition before or after your daily make up routine.

Facial Cleansing Wipes
These impressed me for numerous reasons. Firstly, they are huge! Much bigger than your conventional high street wipes. I don't know how much make up Kleenex believe people to wear but this honestly could clean the faces of a household. The wipes are also quilted, offering a more vigorous clean while remaining super soft as they are being made from natural and thus more environmentally friendly fibers. The wipes are even suitable for those with sensitive skin!

Eye Makeup Removal Wipes
These work in pretty much the same way as the Facial Cleansing Wipes and worked wonders on removing stubborn mascara and eye liner.

Facial Cloths
These cloths feel heavenly upon the face, they really are "cotton soft" and extremely gentle on the face. They are much larger than conventional facial cloths leaving more space to get rid of all the daily grime (lucky us eh!). They can be used wet or dry and for a variety of reasons, be it for use with toner, cleanser or even removing your nail varnish!

Shine Absorbing Sheets
I have never used shine reducing products before. Having dry skin I have never really had the need to. However, I wanted to look at the range as a whole and I was shocked at the results. You use a purple sheen side to blot your face, ridding it of oil and aiding your make up into submission. In my horror, after using the sheet I was left to find a very noticeable colour difference! It goes to show, you never really know the condition your face is in until you use products like these! I will be using them on a regular basis now and hopefully will be shine free in no time!

What do you think of the Kleenex Facial Cleansing Range?

Beauty Review: November JolieBox

JolieBox time again! This November we are graced with six products, some a tad peculiar in a glorified beauty box but I will let you be the judge:

Yardley Royal English Daisy Eau de Toilette (1ml)Yardley London products are classics and I just adore this fragrance. It is so fresh and simple, like the daisy itself. It has a warm feminine scent, lovely and lasting on the skin. Its top notes are of green leaves and apple, the heart of hyacinth and white rose. The base keeps the scent strong with the earthy sandal wood and the prominent musk, this truly is a scent reminiscent of "traditional English gardens".

Jane Iredale Glow Time BB CreamI am not a big fan of BB cream and the miracle coverage they promise. I received this in shade BB5 and although the colour was flawless, I just did not like the application or feel of my skin once it was on! However, a little goes a long way and this sachet could be used for quite a few applications. It also contains SPF25 to protect your skin from the worsening elements!

Dead Sea Spa Magik Gentle Cleansing Facial Wash (25ml)I always love a good facial wash and this foamy cream works wonders. It has a very pleasing fresh scent and left my skin feeling wonderful with the help of all its lovely natural ingredients. It can be used to remove the dirt and grime of the day and also fights against bacteria, ridding you of "blemishes, spots and blackheads".

Topicrem Body Glitter 3D Effect (15ml)This is VERY glittery, a wonderful array of pink and silver sparkles, just perfect for nighttime events, be it clubbing or festive parties. It proves a little bit impractical for day use however, and I am not overly fond of the smell of the product. The shimmery sheen it gives is impressive, intense and lasting.

Marvis Classic Strong Cinnamon and Mint Toothpaste (12ml)This has got to be one of the most interesting products I have ever received in a beauty box and I love it. This cinnamon and mint flavoured, vintage-looking tubed wonder is imported from Italy. These toothpastes with their oh so peculiar flavour, promise to "make brushing your teeth anything but routine". The cinnamon proved shockingly hot as I began to brush, as this subsided, it left my mouth feeling refreshed and clean. These toothpastes contain fluoride so are suitable for using daily. Although delicious, I think I will stick to traditional mint!

Vertumne à Vénus Manucure Absolue - Moisturising & Regenerating Hand Cream (12ml)As you can see in the photographs anticipation got the better of me with this sachet sample. The cream had a refreshing citrus smell, probably from the pomegranate contained within it. It proved very absorbent and left a noticeable feel upon the skin after use. Impressively, it contains 100% natural ingredients, of which 80% are organic. The combination of vitamins, sesame oil and pomegranate extract promises to keep "hands nourished all day".

Overall, I really liked this box, especially with the addition of the Yardley perfume sample and Dead Sea Spa Magik Gentle Cleansing Facial Wash. I would like to see more make up products within JolieBox though. JolieBox is a subscription based beauty box offering a selection of branded products monthly for only £10 (plus £2.95 postage and packaging).

Did you get the November edition of the JolieBox? What are your thoughts of the products within?

Food Review: Cybercandy Cupcake and Darth Vader Mints

So today we have one for the boys and one for the girls.

Sexual stereotypes aside, lets get on to how amazing these mints are. We have the Cybercandy Cupcake* and the Star Wars Darth Vader mints.

Firstly, we shall begin with my personal favourite in the taste war, the Cupcake mints! These certainly make a sweet treat and come as blue, pink and white "frosting flavoured" pellets. These delicious mints are not just adorable, they are also incredibly moreish and will be gone within a couple of hours of nibbling, I guarantee it! They really do make the perfect gift for that someone sweet in your life, or even yourself (you know you deserve it)!

Next, we have the Star Wars themed Darth Vader mints, in the shape of the Dark Lord of the Sith himself. These Vader shaped mints are definitely not sweet (much like Vader in most respects) and come with a refreshing mint kick. I honestly love these for the tin alone, who doesn't want Vader's face lying around their room to freak out any who dares to touch their candy!

Which mints would you prefer? What would you store in the tins afterwards?

Jewellery Review: Cutey Charm Bracelets

Who doesn't love charm bracelets?

I was delighted when I came across the following collection by Cutey. Cutey is a small company that sell a range of  beautiful charm and shamballa bracelets. I chose the Aether and Typhon charm bracelets*.

They say: "Our pieces feel weighty and expensive" and this is certainly true. The quality of the bracelet is amazing and each is adorned with a beautiful variety of colourful and silver charms.

The Aether is based upon the mythological Greek "God of the upper heaven, the sky, the lightest of all air". It is a very girly bracelet, smothered in pink glass and silver charms. At the heart of the bracelet sits a silver bird charm, small and free to fly across the world, a lovely thought for anyone with big dreams.

The Typhon offers a less girly bracelet, with a mix of bright blue, yellow and pink textured glass beads. Even with its unique look it maintains a girly essence though the addition of a silver handbag charm, shopping and the need for discovery always at a girls heart.

Cutey charm bracelets are available in 2 sizes: 18cm and 20cm, you can even swap the beads around to create your own favourite looks! Each of the above is astonishingly only £12.99.

I love the huge selection of colours offered by Cutey and the variety of the different silver charms. Each charm bracelet also features a silver charm printed with "Cutey".

The bracelets are beautiful and at £12.99 are amazing against similar competitors without losing a bit of quality! They feel expensive with their assortment of weighty charms (all included in the price of the bracelet, no need to pay for them separately!) and deep colours.

Pick up a Cutey bracelet for that someone special in the up and coming festive season!

What do you think of Cutey? Which charm bracelet is your favourite?

Daily Buys: Pink Satchel

So I was wandering around 'The Lanes' in Leicester and came across an amazing independant vintage shop called 'Voodoo Clothing'.

Although the bank is not as healthy as it used to be I could not resist. Walking inside, I was immediately greeted by a shelf of wonderfully colourful satchels.

With such a variety it was hard to choose so I decided upon this baby pink one, large enough to hold all my university contents but thin enough to avoid lugging around the usual bulky bag.

It was also only £23 and for the size and quality of the bag I am seriously impressed!

It has a card holder in the front, a smaller pocket underneath the secured flap and a large amount of space inside. The strap is long and adjustable with a wonderful feel to it. It also boasts a top handle for when you need to grab it in a rush. It feels extremely well-made and stitched.

I just adore this bag! I am so happy with my purchase. Especially considering I was going to pay a lot
more for a similar satchel!

What do you think of my new satchel? Be sure to keep checking those independant stores for hidden gems!

Beauty Review SAS & Company Limited Edition Michel Mercier Box

The SAS & Company Limited Edition Michel Mercier Box is packed with designer treats. It includes a Michel Mercier Hair brush of your hair type choice and five luxury fragrances for both men and women.

The award winning 'untangle your day' brush comes in the following choice of hair types, each a different colour. You can choose between fine, normal and thick hair brushes, me evidently opting for the thick, bright blue brush.

I found the brush to detangle quite effectively. This was probably aided by its 428 bristles, each positioned at different heights, offering a 'unique geometric distribution' that reduces the pressure tangles cause upon the hair, avoiding breakage and loss of hair. What amazes me about this product is it can be used on all hair types! Those with dry or damaged hair, thick European hair and even Afro-Caribbean or Asian hair types.

I have never had a lot of faith in detangling products, me and my hair are in a constant battle with one another. I used it both on my wet and dry hair. With my hair wet I struggled to detangle at all. However, with my hair dry it worked fabulously, detangling those stubborn knots and leaving my hair sleek! Guess it is just me eh? I really liked the shape of the brush, the use of a sleek handle and large rounded design of the head really made it easy to use.

Also included in the SAS Box is the following women's and men's fragrance samples:

La Perla Classic (female)
I found the La Perla Classic to have an overly musky scent on first application. Created by an Italian lingerie brand since 1987 this is a new version of the original 'classic'. A somewhat overpowering scent that soon developed into a lasting powdery smell, which proved a lot more pleasant.

Grigioperla Nero (male)
I loved this male perfume. It had a delightful woody fragrance and a strong citrus scent. A delightful mix of cedarwood, grapefruit, ginger, moss and patchouli to name a few, making it a delightful every day perfume.

Kim Kardashian (female)
I am really not a fan of celebrity perfumes but I adored this. I love girly fragrances and this proved beautifully sweet and floral. It came with a roller ball applicator and left the most beautiful feminine scent, supposedly representing Queen Kim herself. Its a blend of floral top notes, a heart of spice and a base of musk and sandalwood. You can imagine how lovely it smells.

John Galliano Parlez-moi d'Amour Eau Fraiche (female)
This perfume is by the British designer John Galliano. It is a particularly fruity number packed with scents of grapefruit flower, ginger, rose, white currant, musks and cypress absolute. I found the citrusy grapefruit to be key to the perfume and particularly strong while the heart is of a more floral nature with its addition of the rose.

La Perla in Rosa (female)
I was not overly keen on La Perla in Rosa. It is a relatively new fragrance and was released at the beginning of the year. I think La Perla may have introduced it to appeal to a younger market. In my opinion it is overly floral and fruity. A blend of pink pepper pear, patchouli cyprus, with a heart of rose and violet.

This limited edition box including all of the above is available directly from the Michel Mercier website for only £14.95 for a limited period of time.

What do you think of the box? Which hairbrush would you need?

Beauty Review: Lush Popcorn and Bubblegum Lip Scrubs

I have been intrigued by the Lush Lip Scrubs for a while now and was skeptical to how they would work.

These thoughts were dumbfounded and the following products are amazing! I tried both the Popcorn* and Bubblegum* Lip Scrubs.

The method to these scrubs is very simple, you place a small amount on your lips and scrub gently in circular motions. You can lick off any excess, while trying your best not to actually eat the stuff. I was not over enthusiastic with my Bubblegum Lip Scrub (although it is rather difficult not to be!), I was somewhat neglectful, spilling some of its contents, much to my sadness! (explains the difference in content!).

The caster sugar packed into the scrub makes your lips feel and taste amazing, while banishing away any of that winter dryness. You see an immediate difference and the jojoba oil in the product really soothes the lips, preparing them for the day ahead and leaving them nicely moisturised. I think these are fabulous to use as part of your skin care and make up routine, the scrubs really prep your lips for a dash of gloss or a swipe of lipstick, ridding you of any unsightly flakiness!

These 25g plastic tubs are packed full of the product. The girly and pink Bubblegum flavoured scrub leaves you feeling as 'sweet as candy' while the Popcorn is packed with coconut, sea salt and polenta to really treat those lips. It also features popping candy and a delicious salted caramel flavour. Each scrub is only £5.25, so there is no excuse not to have beautiful lips every day!

What do you think of the Lush Lip Scrubs? Which flavour of the two would you pick?

Jewellery Review: Abilu Creations Lucky Dip Plectrum Cluster Charm Necklace

Abilu Creations is a beautiful vintage-inspired (and if needed bespoke) jewellery company based in London.
I was lucky enough to get the chance to review their Lucky Dip Plectrum Cluster Charm Necklace*.

The Lucky Dip Plectrum Cluster Charm Necklace is packed full of individual charms on a quality and thick, 28 inch silver plated chain, followed with a cute little butterfly adornment.

I love the unique attention to detail Abilu offer, with their beautiful handmade pouch and packaging , good quality and the fashionable addition of an electric blue Abilu plectrum. They really do offer "unique pieces of wearable art".

My necklace included floral, unicorn, feather, butterfly, fruit, star, dice, sea shells and ladybird embellishments. You can choose between silver and
gold plated necklaces and whether you would like a 'girly-girl' or 'rocking-girl' design. The latter offers adornments of skulls, pirates, bright and dark tones. The girly option is a prettier design, full of pretty
floral charms and pastel tones.

This beautiful handmade and unique item is only £22. I love the array of charms, their huge variety and the mix of contrasting colours. They truly are eclectic, greatly diverse and with a real vintage feel. You will be the envy of girls everywhere!

What do you think of this necklace? What would you like to see on yours?
